One year later…

It has been exactly one year since we introduced TREWGrip at the Finals of the Cincy Typing Challenge (CTC), and the interest it has generated around the world these past 12 months is truly unbelievable.  Shortly after the CTC Finals, the largest newspaper in Spain El Pais wrote about TREWGrip, and in a single day more than 1-million people clicked on the TREWGrip story.  In January at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), TREWGrip was one of twenty products, out of more than 33,000 on display, named as an Engadget Best of CES 2014 Finalist.  TREWGrip also received worldwide media attention at CES from hundreds of media outlets, including CNN, NBC and the Discovery Channel.  And in March, a headline on TechFaster read “Google Files TREWGrip-like Keyboard Patent.” I guess this rear-type keyboard concept isn’t such a bad idea after all…

But as I think back on this past year, there is one image that stands-out from all the others.  It’s a picture of our CTC Champion Robert Price on Wired demonstrating TREWGrip at CES to an international audience.  I believe this is exactly what it was like for Frank McGurrin when he put on typing exhibitions with his Remington #2 typewriter back in 1888…

It was definitely a great first year for TREWGrip, but I have to tell you the best is yet to come.  We are accepting pre-orders on PreLaunch.com, and on target to begin shipping units later this fall.  Thanks again to all of you who have supported us this past year and don’t forget to tell your friends about TREWGrip.
